Terms of Service
Last updated: September 29, 2026
These terms cover website, online-listing, marketing, content and research services from Doorway Web Co., Brainerd, Minnesota ("we," "us"), for you, the business owner ("you").
1. Free previews
We may build a free preview of a website for your business. You don't owe anything unless you choose to launch it. Previews are taken down after the date we tell you.
2. Website launch ($497, one time)
This covers design and setup of your site, connecting your domain, a contact or booking form, tap-to-call, and basic Google setup. It includes up to two rounds of reasonable changes before launch. We aim to launch within 7 days of payment and receiving anything we need from you.
3. Hosting & care plan ($39/month)
This covers hosting, security, backups and small updates, such as hours, prices, photos and short text changes (up to about 30 minutes a month). Bigger changes, like new pages or redesigns, are quoted separately. Billing is monthly through Stripe, and your first month is charged at checkout with the launch fee.
4. Cancel anytime
You can cancel your monthly plan anytime from your billing portal or by emailing [email protected]. It ends at the close of your current billing period, and there are no cancellation fees. After cancellation, we'll take the site offline within 30 days. On request, we'll give you a copy of your site files and help move your domain.
5. Refunds
If we haven't launched your site within 30 days of payment, for reasons on our side, you can ask for a full refund of the launch fee. Once your site is live, launch fees are non-refundable. Monthly fees aren't prorated.
6. Your domain and content
You own your domain name, business name, logo, photos and text. You're responsible for having the rights to anything you send us. Once the launch fee is paid, the finished design of your site is yours to keep.
7. Google Business Profile services ($149 tune-up / $29 monthly)
You add us as a manager on your profile, and we never ask for your password. We can't guarantee rankings, reviews or Google's approval of edits, which is Google's decision. You can remove our access at any time. The monthly plan can be cancelled anytime, as in section 4.
8. Holiday gift card page ($149)
Gift card sales go through your own provider (for example Square, Clover or Shopify). We never handle your customers' payments. The page stays up through December 31.
9. Marketing and content services
This includes social posts, email marketing, blog posts, promo videos, flyers, promo kits, hiring kits and website copy.
- Your approval. We send every piece to you before it's published or sent, and nothing goes public without your OK. Once you approve something, you're responsible for it being accurate: prices, hours, offers and claims about your business.
- Revisions. Each deliverable includes two rounds of reasonable changes. Starting over on a new concept counts as a new order.
- Access. Where a platform allows it, you add us as a partner, manager or user. We never ask for your passwords. If a platform doesn't allow that, we give you ready-to-use files and you post or send them yourself.
- Your materials. You confirm that you have the right to use the photos, logos and text you send us. We use only your materials and graphics we create. We don't use images we don't have rights to.
- Ownership. Once you've paid, you own the finished deliverables and can use them however you like. We may show them as examples of our work unless you ask us not to.
- AI tools. We use AI tools to help with research, writing and design. A person reviews everything before it reaches you.
10. Email marketing
- Your list. Your email list belongs to you, and so does your email-service account (for example Mailchimp or MailerLite). You pay any fees that service charges.
- Consent. You confirm that everyone on your list agreed to hear from you. We never buy lists or add addresses you didn't collect.
- Legal requirements. Every email we prepare includes your business address and an unsubscribe link, as required by the federal CAN-SPAM Act.
11. Research reports (market snapshot, competitor deep dive)
- Sources. Reports use publicly available information, checked on the date shown in the report. Ratings, prices and reviews change often.
- What they're for. Reports are for your own planning. They aren't financial, legal or investment advice, and results from the suggestions aren't guaranteed.
- Privacy. We don't share your report with anyone else.
12. Monthly services and cancellation
- Billing. Monthly services (social posts, email marketing, blog posts, Google profile care, Marketing on Autopilot) bill monthly through Stripe.
- Cancel anytime. You can cancel from your billing portal or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep everything already delivered. Work for a month is scheduled once that month's payment goes through.
- Your input. If we don't hear back on a draft within 7 days, we may publish the pre-approved seasonal plan or hold the posts until you reply. You choose which during onboarding.
13. One-time services and refunds
- Before work starts. One-time services are fully refundable until we start work, which is when we receive your intake answers.
- After work starts. Once work has started, we'll make it right with revisions. Refunds after that point are at our discretion.
- Turnaround. Turnaround times start once we have both payment and your intake answers.
- Scheduling. We limit how many clients we take each month so every order gets proper attention. If we're full, we'll tell you before you pay and offer a start date.
14. Listings and third-party platforms
- Platforms decide. Google, Yelp, Bing, Apple, Facebook, Instagram, Nextdoor and similar platforms set their own rules and approval decisions, and we don't control them.
- Verification. You handle any verification that requires your identity or presence, such as postcards, PINs, codes or ID checks.
- Paid options. We never buy ads or paid listings for you unless you ask in writing and pay for them directly.
15. Reviews
We never write fake reviews, offer incentives for reviews, or filter which customers get asked. Review services follow each platform's rules. For example, Yelp asks businesses not to request reviews at all, so our review kits point customers to Google only. Where we draft replies to reviews, you approve each reply before it's posted.
16. What we can't promise
We don't guarantee search rankings, traffic, sales, followers, email opens, review counts or platform approvals. We aren't responsible for outages caused by third-party services (hosting providers, Google, payment processors). Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the previous 3 months.
17. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe, and we never see or store your full card number. If a monthly payment fails and isn't fixed within 14 days, we may pause your site until it's resolved.
18. Changes
We'll email you at least 30 days before changing monthly prices or these terms.
